from 1956, together with the famous Double Seal Cap V2B, which improves the safety on
millions of trucks and also helps them to save fuel, are just a few examples.
But even today, there are still things that can be developed concerning valves, for example:
valve systems for the monitoring of tire pressure TPMS (picture/photo, link to special report,
FEM pictures) special high-temperature valves for garbage trucks which have to brake
particularly often, or valves of special noncorrosive aluminium which
help to reduce the unbalance of a tire.
But ALLIGATOR valves are also found outside of the realm of tires, as for example,
in the patented Pressure Retaining Valves for air struts, which reliably
protect the expensive air struts in SUVs and luxury-class
limousines from damage.
And, of course, ALLIGATOR also solves problems outside the automobile industry.

At the start of the 2007 cycling season, ALLIGATOR Ventilfabrik GmbH, Giengen/Brenz has brought an innovative product onto the market, which cyclists, bicycle manufacturers and retailers are equally enthusiastic about: the ALLIGATOR Express Valve UNIVERSAL.
Right from the beginning when it was first presented at the IFMA Cologne 2006, the further development of the successful ALLIGATOR Express Valve impressed the experts. The technical finesse of this innovation lies in an additional safety step inside the valve stem, combined with a multi-stage seal concept.
Encouraged by the positive feedback from customers and the accompanying demands, ALLIGATOR Ventilfabrik GmbH has done everything to be able to go into production as fast as possible. Right on time for the start of the cycling season and rising temperatures, the ALLIGATOR Express Valve UNIVERSAL is now on the market. Well-known wholesalers have immediately included the new valve in their range of goods.
No wonder: The ALLIGATOR Express Valve UNIVERSAL brings to an end the confusion about bicycle valves which has existed up till now. It has been developed and tested for the three prevalent valve bases - Schrader, Sclaverand and Dunlop. In the future, cycle manufacturers and retailers will be able to dispense with buying and stocking different types of valves and tubes. ALLIGATOR will be presenting their innovation for the first time to the general public at the IMFA Cologne. From 14 to 17 September experts and bike fans from all over the world will have the opportunity to find out about the benefits of this new ALLIGATOR product at Stand C 024 in Hall 9.
The UNIVERSAL valve adds further extra points to the assets of the tried and tested ALLIGATOR Express valve. We would like to emphasize the high safety reserves, which far exceed the tire pressure of 8 bar usual in racing bikes. An ingenious development of the time-tested ALLIGATOR two-step cone seal enables this increase in performance. Wet weather, icy cold and extreme heat cannot affect the ALLIGATOR Express Valve UNIVERSAL.

IMDS
What is IMDS really?
In the IMDS (International Material Data System) all materials used in the automobile
industry are archived and maintained, and on this basis a material data sheet is compiled
by naming all the materials and proprietary components pertaining to the part, as well as
including all the essential data necessary for the later recycling of the vehicle part.
The IMDS is a joint development of Audi, BMW, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, Opel, Porsche,
Volkswagen and Volvo. Further automobile manufacturers have since joined the
community.
Car manufacturers and suppliers are obliged to hand over data by national and
international laws, standards, norms and regulations.
Should one of our suppliers not be in the position to provide us with IMDS data for the
components or materials delivered, then he is obligated to inform us about it and provide
us with comparably detailed data (weight proportions, CAS-numbers, etc) for the individual
substances of content.

Valves are safety components. Therefore all the fundamental manufacturing steps at ALLIGATOR are 100% monitored, in most cases fully automatically.
Furthermore, in our mass production, every single valve is tested before it leaves the company.
